Withdrawn. Guess I'll keep this as my hunting hammock rig as planned.

Hah... It'll cost ya $5 more to get the package deal. 😁
It's late/early. Nice catch. You buying?

Does the Sock and the OC combo breathe well?
I think it breathes pretty well. I've not had this out in all types of conditions and I've not used both the top cover and sock at the same time yet. I have used the sock on my standard BB in warm to downright PNW cold (not Minnesota cold) weather and had no issues at all!

Some photos, and now that I've got it out I realize that I've built a complete backcountry stealth kit which was to be my hunting setup! Better act quick before I change my ever fickle mind!

So would the Top Cover work on a regular BB?
No, the topcover is custom designed at the time the BB XLC is made to fit this hammock.
The topcover is certainly a component option that must remain with this XLC.
The traveler sock does fit the WB BB, and that is why I initially purchased it, to fit my standard BB. Once I decided to go with the longer XLC and sold my standard BB, I had to order the sock extenders to allow it to fit the longer hammock body.

What is the purpose of the traveler sock?
Many use hammock socks to extend camping into colder temps. I found that using the traveler sock around my standard black bird, in the winter on Mt. Rainier below Mazama Ridge that the 12-20 degree nights were crisp but inside the hammock sock, once settled in my interior temperature was quite comfortable. Most say that a hammock sock will add 10-15 degrees. I found this to be true, maybe even closer to 20 degrees.
