I have a Backwoods DayDreamer 10x12', rectangular, 3/4? Season tarp with lift/tie outs in a lovely shade of navy blue that goes nicely with my blue original Switchback. I use it for the FL hangs when temps get to around 23 degrees. It has a mitten clip system for closing the ends into doors, but I've never tried it.
I wanted something smaller for FL's normal weather and got the McCat Deluxe in black.
I used it at the FL Sherpa hang this weekend and it was a bit skimpy at the sides. The bad news is that my face was getting sprinkled with the rain; the good news it that my hammock is a Switchback and I (with the two Chihuahuas in my arms!) just turned around inside the hammock.
Moving the tarp 3-4 inches might have helped a bit but trying to get placement perfectly increases the fiddle factor. Am looking for ideas and suggestions to increase the coverage of the sides.
My first choice is to see if Brian can do something. I welcome suggestions as to aftermarket beaks or ?? (2QZQ?) DIY is a scary option since I like to use patterns and silnylon is so slippery but won't discount.
Someone suggested selling it and getting a Superfly from Brandon, but I looked at the site and, apart from not liking the color choices, it's too similar to my BWDD tarp.
