I ordered my blackbird with the line strap suspension and recently converted to whoopies. I was wondering if it would be suitable to use the tree straps that came with it. They're about 5ft long or so and have a metal triangle in the end.

They should work fine but I doubt you'll need the metal triangle for hanging with whoopies. Are you planning to use a toggle and marlin spike hitch?
Yeah, I was planning on using the toggle and marlin spike. The triangle is just kind of there
There's no huge advantage but you could use the triangle and feed the other end of the webbing through it if you weren't planning on using a biner. At the very least there would no webbing to webbing friction vs feeding webbing through a sewn loop. Removing the stitching holding the triangle would gain some webbing length.

I use the straps that came with my WBBB line strap suspension with woopies and they work just fine. I loop the triangle end through the sown loop and put a toggle in with a marlin spike hitch. It works great. I'll probably make longer tree straps soon but there's definitely no problem with this setup.
