I've got some heavy duty eye bolts from Home Depot that are screwed into the studs of my walls. They happened to be spaced just right to give me a pretty decent sag.
Unfortunately, the hammock gets more use than the treadmill that's also in the photo.

In the basement. Since the photo was taken I've transitioned from the standard ENO suspension to tree huggers around I-beams to whoopie slings. Great for hanging out in the basement (no pun intended) with the kids while they work on woodworking projects or getting away for an afternoon nap (or over-nighters if I'm in the dog house).
I love my new hammock stand! It cost about $70 and a Saturday to make. I can move it around in the room, to another room, or even out on the porch. I like that didn't have to mangle any walls, since I rent. Very solid and uses whoopie slings to hang my 210 lbs. I use my hammock full time. If you don't want to make your own stand, the are several on the market.

First I send my wife to Cambria and then...
mrmike65, that is a great looking stand, good job. Could you possibly share the basic dimensions that you used, I think I would like to try this too.
