Sorry for hijacking the thread, but what is a Mors Kochanski seat?
I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
I use Linux.
I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

Hang On!
FourDog invited me to participate in the Wilderness Living Skills Total Immersion course, taught by Mors Kochanski. Among many other things, he made several shelters from logs and saplings... one of which had a large concave back, like some wicker throne-like chairs, and we used it as a two person seat in front of the fire ring. The back served to block the wind, and since there was a space blanket inside the back, beneath the cat-tail and spruce bough coverings, it was toasty! I thought it would be great to have two or three of them around a Swedish candle in the back yard.
If you visit my YouTube channel [link fixed], you will find two videos from the Mors course.
Bring Donations for a Door Prize Raffle!
Hey, speaking of FourDog... this morning he offered to donate something if we want to have a raffle! Since we won't have very many people, let's do a "door prize" raffle, like we had at the Texas Fall Hang. Everyone who shows up will put their name in the hat, and Thing1 will draw names until the prizes are gone!
I'll find something to donate, too. If you have something you can afford to give away, bring it and put it in the raffle!

This sounds great. I will have just gotten my first hammock and am still new to NC. If I can squeeze some time out of my wife to be away from the house, I will be there! Look forward to meeting everyone.
Hope to be there if I can. Will try to bring my buddy who isn't on HF yet, but loves to hang!
I will try to make it. I'll see if I can bring a friend or two along... thanks!

CoolDays sent me a note that he and Shutterbug will be there.
He asked what he can bring to contribute to the edibles... good point! We had a lot of folks last time, and it was a good thing some of them brought a small contribution. We'll have some Henry James BBQ, and if ya'll can bring salads, deserts, finger food, etc. that will help a lot. Don't need to bring much... the variety last time was wonderful!
Thank you!

I was looking forward to meeting so many of you, but I am having cataract surgery the preceeding Wednesday and I will probably not have my new specs by then. Prolly not a good idea to make an 8 hour round trip with blurry vision. But I will be looking forward to other hangs in 2012. Retirement should bring free time for playing in the woods.
Hope you all have a great time!
Jim
