You need to get in the woods and stop posting - don't think re-introducing yourself is going to help that at all. I think you should thru-hike something, just to get away for awhile and enjoy the piney woods.

Glad to have shared a trail or two with a (somewhat) regular, extremely nice feller. You're always great to be around, but especially when the spotlight is off. Hope to share a fire and a late night cigar again soon.

Just want to say that your videos and postings have opened the piney woods again for me, as they have for many others. Despite your many disclaimers, you DO have a lot of knowledge to impart and you do it very well. I'm just thankful I've run across a chap like you and hope to meet you in person someday, although your videos ALMOST make it seem like we've already met... Please keep them coming as long as you can, you've got a lot of faithful viewers!

Shug, your knowledge and videos have taught me, and many others, to enjoy camping again. Because of your teachings, we can walk in the mornings when we wake up, we are warm and happy (and we eat pretty good too)

Shug spelled backwards is Gush... well maybe if the letters were in a dice cup and rolled out just right, but I do "Gush" from the laugh your butt off yet so informative vids you make and am honored to by a member of a forum with the types of folks that gather here. In Houston; you are not too far from the "lone star trail"- mind you it's only 140 miles, but it is better than no trails at all....and it is very piney! southern pines, that is...
