That's a sweet pitch man. Those tarps are a bit heavy but they are good quality and can sure get the job done.

Very Nice set up there ... Thanks for showing us how to pitch!

For the coverage at 900g (2#) it's a fair trade-off, using 1.1 ripstop 12X12 (16yds) would weight 500g plus another 100g for thread, tie-outs, other misc hardware, and seamsealer, not to mention the cost and time involved DIY... I'm pretty happy with the Noah 12 considering it was under $50 shipped....
My setup. A view from inside and some various angles. Not quite as good as sr1355 but this was my first attempt. I didn't have time to really dial this in but I was in the hammock for over 45 minutes with my 20-degree bag and Ray Way TQ and was pretty warm. I'll say that the winter mode of this tarp added about 7 to 10 degrees of warmth. Good stuff.

I was considering selling my Kelty Noah 12; but after seeing that setup, I think I'll keep it for winter hangs.

It's a great tarp for the money...It will stay in my collection until I have time to build a custom winter tarp...
Same hear. I bought a smaller and lighter tarp to use other times, but my Noah 12 will hang around until I get something different that can fill it's place.

I also have the Noah 12, but can't really get the doors to close completely on the vertical in winter mode. The tie-outs leave a gap. Thinking of using a some sort of plastic tie-out button that can be placed wherever you want it on the tarp to pull the doors together a little closer to block the wind.
