This past weekend my son Steve and I were to canoe the Spoon River but rains Wednesday & Thursday caused the river to get too high. Instead of cancelling, we decided to take on the Illinois River from Pekin to the Banner boat ramp. The wind was not in our favor both Sat. & Sunday, blowing up river 15-25 mph both days so we spent most of our time on sections that were not effected as much by the wind. We fished, played in the water, built campfires and hammocked. I have attached a few pictures but more can be seen in my album. I would like to make a shout out to 41vi4 for the stand ideas and Tinker for the T-7 hammock.
