My son and I camped in the rain shadow of Mt. Rainier over the holiday. It usually rains this time of year, and the big volcano didn't stop it this year, although it was only a bit more than a drizzle and mostly at night. We had a peek-a-boo view of a lake, so wind was a factor; it typically isn't amongst the trees. So, I got to pitch my WinterTarp with the "doors" wrapped around for the first time. It worked well, but the wind died when the sun went down.
I panicked when I read that Ed wasn't making SnugFits any more. Fortunately, he still had them in stock so I bought one. It has been on my wish list for two years. Super easy to install, it fits great; I was pleased to have warms sides throughout the night. I slept like a suspended, down-cushioned log.
