cougarmeat - That's good advice. Thanks. I've always taken a temp gauge backpacking over the years. I agree its definitely helpful to know the actual real-time temps instead of a forecast for the nearest town, which could be thousands of feet lower in elevation. I'm a pretty cold sleeper so I ordered a 10* incubator from HG. Super excited! I'll probably need to get a 30 to cover the shoulder seasons, not sure how easy or effective it is to vent these things very much if its too hot, but I figure 70%+of my backpacking is done in the winter (20-30F) so I think I bought the right UQ first. As a gear nerd, it's not a matter of deciding which item i buy and don't buy, because i know eventually ill end up owning them all.. so in actuality its just a matter of deciding IN WHICH ORDER I buy the pieces of gear.

Any word on Warbonnet? I have their Blackbird and like the idea of the Wookie.
Warbonnet usually, not always though does some sort of fall/winter sale. Could be a black friday or xmas type deal.
