We live in the Himalayas in India. Last year I got a 11ft Dream Hammock Sparrow, and determined to "make do" without a decent under-quilt and tarp. I've had some wonderful nights with my under-quilt made of airline blankets, and a big blue builders tarp, but it is time for something better. I would love to sleep in my hammock, but it is just too cold.
A friend is coming to visit from the USA in March, and she could carry some gear for me.
First prize would be a Superior Gear shelter and hammock, but I would consider any winter tarp and 3/4 or full-length under-quilt that would fit into my backpack and limited budget. I need to be comfortable at 0'Celsius or 32 F
I am also looking for some cinch buckles on continuous loops, or whoopie slings. I've become quite good at knots, but realize the benefits of an easily adjustable suspension system. I am also now dead scared of those knots slipping.
Shug, this morning I watched your "Silence on Superior Hiking Trail Overnighter" video, and am so inspired. We had snow this week, and after three months of enforced bed-rest after a back injury, I so long to hang between two trees. Thank you for encouraging us yet again with your indomitable spirit.
