No the Whoopie sling is a nice adaptation, paired with the 2" straps I asolutely love this setup. (Meyers on another setup I love equally)

Did they work out as expected?

This whoopie sling doesn't seem to be available anymore, or at the moment anyway. Anybody that knows why? Just out of stock, or were there problems with them?

I'd like to have the whoopie slings as short as possible, and was thinking about making something like this. I'm a bit worried that the diamond knot might be something of a weak spot though, and maybe not hold the loop securely, so I would be glad if someone here has some experience to share.

I ended up returning them as the extra couple inches weren't worth the cost.

Try reaching out to Jeff at https://www.ebay.com/usr/myerstechhammocklab . I bet he could make these for you or give you guidance. His youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAZ...ZrMfhEg/videos is great.

I was just hoping somebody here had been using these slings for an extended period of time. But I'll see for myself how they work, they are easy to make.

I contacted DW asking about them, they say they aren't making them anymore due to the effort invovled... so looks like Jeff Myers is only option unless you DIY.

We’ve made the difficult decision to pause production of our Hardware Free Suspensions. While this has been a popular product, it’s also very labor-intensive, and we've struggled to produce it as quickly as we'd like. To maintain the level of customer service you deserve and avoid slowing down other orders, we are not currently offering these suspensions. We believe this is the best choice for now, and we appreciate your understanding and support.
