Directions to Beech Camp
From Yates Place Campground, take spur trail about five minutes to T intersection with Uwharrie Trail.
There you will see sign posts with wooden signs.
Turn left going south on Uwharrie Trail.
Hike about twenty to twenty five minutes depending on your hiking speed.
You will then see five signposts with six wooden signs.
Turn right onto Dutchman’s Creek Trail.
Hike about 30 more minutes.
You will cross several small step across creeks—those don’t count.
Dutchman’s Creek Trail will cross Dutchman’s Creek three times in rapid succession. Once you have crossed Dutchman’s Creek twice—you will be at Beech Camp.
AllTrails App can help you navigate, but Beech Camp is not listed on map. I made up the name Beech Camp because of all the beech trees in camp-perfectly spaced for hammocks.
Feel free to join us for Friday Saturday Sunday, or hike in Saturday.
Bring all your own food. Lots of water in Dutchman’s Creek.
