This is a late reply, but I was looking for other information and stumbled on this.
Last i checked less than a year ago, you could buy a replacement ridge pole consisiting of all the segments, directly from ENO for around $50. Ask about replacement parts.
Has anyone considered using a fence top rail like the turtledog stands? I saw one of these and forgot I had a nomad from before I got into warbonnet hammocks. I have a tensa4 but something freestanding would be great in some situations.
Any update? The Nomad can't be extended safely?
I took my Nomad stand to a metal supply store. The sales associate was a hammock camper and we discussed what it would cost me to get the ridgepole and legs extended. After inspecting the stand, it was determined that it would be less expensive to purchase a 2nd Nomad and use it for parts. I'm now gonna sell mine.
