For those of you worried about this camp being open, it is wide open and doing business as we speak. I drove up there this past weekend on a scouting mission - found about 5 cars scattered around there. The restrooms were open, and we should be good to go.
By the way, there is another campground about 1/4 mile before you get to the Upper Canyon Creek camp, called Airplane Flat. I guess we have an option as to which one we choose. Airplane Flat is before you get to the creek and before the fish hatchery.
I'm hoping they will be able to grade the road before our hang. Otherwise, a Prius may have some trouble in a few spots

I should be there Wednesday. Hamburgers, rubber gloves, mask AND Green Chilies

Thanks for the info, Jeff-oh. Our governor had repeatedly told folks to get out and enjoy the outdoors, and get fresh air. I’m headed up that direction this weekend to do just that. Plenty of places when in AZ to just pull off and make a camp, so I’m sure I can find a spot.
Don’t know if anyone else will still come that weekend, but I plan on going up that direction anyway. If that camp is closed, we can always find an alternate.
As for group size, it won’t be that large, I’m sure.
Yea it is a bummer all around. Here we have the same. But people go to the popular parks, don't keep social distancing and then they close that park down. Has happened twice so far.
Stay safe and enjoy
