Id love to go. Can’t say I’ll be there for certain yet, but gonna try for sure!
Is the hang right at 471 (the link posted above) or is that just the trailhead? I’ll be working until at least 4 so wouldn’t be to the TH until 5:30 at the earliest.

That's the trailhead. From there, go West on the trail. If you get there by 5:30 you should be in camp looking for trees before last light.

Not really a problem hiking in in the dark except at the point when you approach the first standing water (manmade pond). As you pass the pond you will come upon a sugar sand road. Look to your right under the trees and you will see the trail.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
I am thinking about going in on Thrasher Ridge Rd. A grass firm surfaced road 1/4 mi. north of the trailhead. It will be easier with the Sherpa.Thrasher Ridge Rd.jpg

Does anyone need to borrow a Dutch Oven or 2? I can bring mine if needed. Also a large cast iron skillet. Or even a wok...

Jason and I will be there. Coming in late Friday night staying until Sunday morning.
Just wondering, Does a Dutch Oven have to have feet?? If it's without feet is it just a pot?
I've heard that before..... hopefully see yall there.
No on the feet. I think a pot has no lid or can be made of other than cast iron. So maybe that means that 1-it has to be made of cast iron and 2- it has to have a cast iron lid. If I'm correct, that makes it possible to use in a regular oven, over a fire, inside a pizza-like oven, used with charcoal under and on top of the lid.
I love making things up. I'm surprised if it's correct. Also, I love my 10" feetless DO. It's perfect for the range top and I can still use it while camping.
