Question : Does anyone else in HF have/ have had a tarp from AH , Or more specifically, the 12' hex that I just bought? I could only find a couple of vids on YouTube of their " big sil UL tarp" , and was just curious if anyone had any vid or pics of the 12' hex pitched since RSTBR doesn't on their website. I'm sure I'm gonna love it, but am just curious since I've never seen one before.

Arrived yesterday, got my suspension for the hammock completed and tried it out just before the snow hit. Have not had time to seal the the tarp, or set up its ridge line yet. Quick question on sealing the tarp: the web page states "Along the interior of the ridgeline, there are three grosgrain tabs originally meant for clipping accessories. You will need to trim these off (simply cut off with scissors) prior to seam sealing." I can't seem to find the tabs - are they on all the tarps?

Just got my second AH hammock, this time for the wife. Color selection is now limited but still a bargain at $25, fortunately the wife loves red. Had all of the suspension ready to go and she was hanging in a few minutes. I have the Costco throw under quilt ready too. Just need her to sew up the netting we ordered to make the bug net and we are ready to go!
The under quilt attaches, via the loops on the AH hammock, using sock cord attached to the gathered end continuous loops (My own "twisted knot" split/prusik loop). The sock cord runs through two sew in channels at the head and foot of the throw.

I got the same AH camo hex with the first hammock. The wife is a fair weather camper, she won't be camping if she needs to use a tarp LOL.
I've slept out just about every weekend since the lockdown started, most nights in my charcoal AH hammock. Very comfortable and at this price, good for tinkering. I'm planning to add a dual knotty mod and some built in storage pockets.
Help me! Another impulse buy that I couldn't resist. $25?, now I will always have a hammock stowed in the truck.
