i have always used, i think they are called daisy chains, and just thinking about trying something else. not sure about like whoopie slings, just curious what everyone else uses and why

I used the stock suspension on my old Hennessey until I realized how slow it was, and adjustments were never any fun. Then I went DIY with Whoopie slings, but found I usually couldn't find trees at the right distance apart (too close). For the last 2 years or so I've been using custom nylon straps and Becket hitches. Super simple, works for a wide range of tree gaps and hasn't failed me yet.

I've been using whoopie slings to a marlin spike hitch on tree straps. Question; Will a becket hitch work with amsteal? I couldn't tell in your picture what kind of rope that was.
Thanks
I like whoopie slings and straps with a marlin spike hitch. being able to put the marlin spike hitch closer or further away from the tree has allowed me to fit into a pretty wide range of areas, and the whoopie slings make adjustments very easy.
I use 15' straps, dutch clips and beetle buckles for easy adjustment and simple setup. It's heavier than other solutions but gets the job done. Love my beetles.
This, without the clips. 15' poly/dyneema straps with Beetles. For me, there is no simpler setup, and the BBs have proven themselves to provide excellent water runoff protection in downpours... i.e., no need for drip lines. Drip lines are just one other thing that if I needed, I'm sure I'd forget about until it was too late. Beetles solve that for me.
This. Been working fine for me. I've not seen any reason to change the setup so far.I use 15' straps, dutch clips and beetle buckles for easy adjustment and simple setup. It's heavier than other solutions but gets the job done. Love my beetles.
If there’s a bunch of weight in the hammock, I’ve found they can be a bit tight, but maybe it’s just me. Taking some tension off the hardware helps if the hammock is loaded.
I considered Double Dutch hooks and whoopie slings, but wanted as simple as it gets and works with the spreader bar. The Beetle Buckle fit the bill.
