Since both of you are rolling in late Friday or Saturday, you may want to coordinate to meet up at Mill Street to drop a car off...Depending on snow, sometimes our alternate parking location on the north of of Hare Road is an option, otherwise, the main GT lot can fill up fast. For food, keep it simple and just bring a pound or two of bacon and maybe cookies or light snacks to pass around to the group. Also, it's good to have a backup meal or two like ramen or a dehydrated one if you get hungry (not likely).
I've added both of you to the spreadsheet. Welcome to GT 2019!
Something else to add: there is no cost for this hang, since the parking is free and we are in a Michigan state forest.

I had a lot of fun playing with the 4x4 recently on those 2-tracks off Hare Trail. But there wasn't much snow, so don't get too brave and get stuck!
Just got a fresh 8" at GT, so let's get that base going!!

Ayup, next weeks snow load is going to bring plenty of base to Northern Michigan. Think the xski and downhill people will be happy. Plus all of us sledders.....
Don't think we'll have to worry until closer to GT time, but looks like plenty of snow next few weeks....
I got a question guys, and I figured I'd ask it here before bringing it to the general forum, hoping one of you might have first hand experience with it...
I've got a WBBB XLC, and an XLC wookie (20deg)
I also have a Regular length BB and regular length wookie (40deg)
Anyone ever try adding shock cord to a regular wookie to fit it to an XLC? I'd like to stack both UQs for the GT hang (backup plan is a torso pad+)

Coming up on 5 weeks to GT weekend, people need to add to thread / spreadsheet and let everyone know what you're bringing, ETA, any requirements so that we can all plan and have a wonderful stay in the woods at GT.
At least fill in you're coming. Food / supplies can be added closer to the event. We should have several hot tents and large tarps for the campfire area, bacon on the campfire is always appreciated. Meals for 10x will give everyone a chance to get rid of their foodstuffs easily. Last year we had 23 who spent at least a night around the campfire and the laughter and stories.
If you have questions, ask away on this thread. Someone will get back to you with answers. Read prior year trip reports for pictures and information regarding the event. I will say it is my favorite trip to Hang Out with other hammockers.
Update the DOC if you plan on coming.... >>> GREEN TIMBERS FEB 21-24, 2019

Updated sheet. But I'm flaky enough to the point where I should change my name to "50/50". Hopefully it works out!

I got my gear dialed in, new personal low down to 0deg last night. I'm ready for the GT hang!

Crazy cold up there now! I'm heading up this weekend (1/25) to soak in the winter weather and do yet another test.
