    Hammock replace mattress?

Has anyone went all out with the hammock idea and replaced their bed with a hammock for sleeping? I hear some say it's better to sleep in a hammock than a mattress because it's pressure point free. Curious if anyone tried it. If you did what did you think?
P.s. Still getting use to the forum. I tried to see if I could find a similar post and didn't. If one already existes please give me a link or tell me how to find it. Thanks!

I've been sleeping full-time in a bridge hammock since July or August of 2014. I do spend a night or two each week in a bed when I stay at the GF's but I never sleep well. I have an arthritic hip that only ever bothers me when I try to sleep on my back or left side in a bed. It never bothers me in my bridge hammock or the gathered-end hammocks I bring on my trips.

I've been sleeping in my XLC every night for ten weeks. That way I don't have to deal with the rock hard bunks we have on board and I sleep like a log in all but the most extreme rolling.

I love my hammock and there are times I'm in the bed wishing I was in my hammock... HOWEVER... I like my wife as well!

I got rid of my bed and sleep every night in a hammock. I love it, and so does my lower back!

If I wasn't married, I'd sleep in a hammock every night inside. When I was in highschool, I had a brazillian hammock that I slept in nearly full time. In college, I didn't really use a bed either. I bought a camping hammock from Wilderness Logics about 2 years ago. I could sleep in my WL Snipe hammock every night and be better rested then sleeping on any mattress. My wife and I have pretty nice (expensive) memory foam mattress, and it's not as comfortable as my $100 hammock.

Every night for nearly two years now, minus a few days for vacations. My back is much happier for it!
