    Superior Hammock First Look

    Hello everyone,

I got a chance to take a look at a new hammock system from Superior Hammock
The owner (Danny Warnock) just happens to be from Minnesota and I emailed and asked if I could get my hands on one before his Kickstarter

My first gear review video so I'm a little curious on how I did, I'd like to do more

Anyway have to bring it back as he didn't have enough demo models but I just may purchase one myself depending on price.

Let me know what you think and how I can improve my videos.

The under quilt is not running at any diagonal so can you not get a flatter diagonal lay in this one? I like the idea of snap on doors for wind but rain not so much.

Works for me Im 5' 10' the "underquilt" is built around the complete width so no matter what way you lay its always underneath

Ah, that'll work. I think there's a market for this as many simply want to keep it simple and just hang and be warm. Now the price will dictate how well this goes over as one would need different hammock for summer, winter, and transition season or they may burn up or freeze depending on the trip.

Totally agree I have a feeling it's not going to be cheap I think he's using 850 down (Correction 800 confirmed) and a lot of it cause it was almost too warm at 38 degrees the other night up in two harbors had to barely have my sleeping bag on me (im a warm sleeper though)

Nice video, interesting designs! Thanks for posting.

As for how you did: Very nice job.

Pros: You speak well, didn't say "ummm, Uhhh", good video quality, showed a lot of features

To be improved: not a lot, but it seemed to drag on a bit at the end, that's all that come to mind!

As for the product, it's not an eno clone, it looks like a single piece of fabric like most "other" hammocks. The design incorporates non-standard features like the UQ snaps, clips on the tarp tie-outs, etc. If a 6+footer can lay flat with the pod attached then it will probably sell assuming the price is fair. Bungees on tarp tie-outs are a stake-rocket waiting to happen!!! The doors are nice.
