What's everyone doing with their hook worm line?
I'm thinkind six foot lines either back spliced on each end so I don't loose my worm or back spliced on one end with a fixed loop on the other.

I would go with the loop. Then you can just put that over the stake, tension, and done.
On the Hook Worm, I tie it to the stake. That is as long as it isn't a hook stake. Lines stay with the stakes and I don't lose my stakes anymore. I wrap my lines around my stakes. Keeps everything together.

What Dutch said, I have eight with 4' lines, and eight with 8' lines. Lines have a fixed loop on one end, back splice on the other, with hook worms on each. With them wound on to the stake it makes an easy set up, best of all no line tangle.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

Yep like Dutch said. I use 6' lines. Line gets wrapped around stakes, stakes go it a ditty bag with other small Dutch stuff I might use.
Then how do you attach them to the tarp?
Here you go:
