As long as the snow isn't so deep I need snowshoes, I'm planning on attending.

Glad to hear! We'll be at the spot you were in when we met you and your family. I'm hoping for snow, but its' looking like a late fall so far. Either way, it's an easy walk in.
Sounds like Turkey has an abundance of venison, so looking forward to seeing what comes out of the Dutch oven. I'm planning on biscuits and sausage gravy, plus my jambalaya with andouille sausage, peppers, ham and maybe some shrimp thrown in for good measure. Rumor has it some of the Bushcrafters from the Green Timbers hang are coming too. Should be a nice weekend in the woods!
My daughter and I did an impromptu overnight at site five. Later on Turkey and his daughter joined us. The campground was packed and then some. Site 4 had 3 hammock campers ask if they could go back into the woods and hang seeing there was no other campsites open.
At some point a Boy Scout troop showed up and had to camp around the community fire pit.
Checked out the sites for this up coming Hang and it looks like 4,5, and 6 will be the best sites. If needed we can grab site 3 too.

Good deal. I should have new gear dialed in by then.
This is on my radar. . . Hiked the loop 3 weeks ago, maybe I'll join you guys in November.
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.
When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

If my gear shows up in time I will be there hunting starting the weekend before.
Figured it would make a great week.

New gear is always a great reason to get out in the woods. We'll have to add a "show and tell" to the planned activities . I know I'm looking forward to getting out and enjoying the November woods of Northern Michigan with my new wool anorak from G. Fred Asbell. Hope you have a successful hunt...some fresh venison would be a treat! Thanks for the recon work you and Turkey did over the weekend. Glad to know you'll have the site secured, firewood stockpiled and a pot of hot coffee ready and waiting (subtle hint).
I've heard we'll also have a couple guys from the Bushcraft forum possibly coming who were at the 2015 Green Timbers hang. The Gluttony Hang is 4 weeks away, so keep your fingers crossed for snow and get that pulk ready for the winter season!

Ok it's almost time for the food hang so I've made up my mind i'm going to make venison chili and bring along some venison summer sasage. Dave I'm going to grab some venison breakfast sausage for the morning.
I'm thinking I'll bring the Dutch oven along for a sausage/hashbrown/egg breakfast and a garlic/balsamic marinated pork loin.
Wish i could be there :-(
