I am a gram weenie and I am looking for an ultralight bug net for my grand trunk nano 7. Any ideas? I am new to the forum, so if this topic has already been covered than I am sorry.

If weight is your thing then maybe the Hug net.

The lightest net I know is either DP's 1/2 length net or the HUG, which is basically the same.
They cover around half your torso, and are intended to be used with both a Top quilt over you legs, and either a pad or full length Underquilt to protect you from below.
The BIAS Nano Buganator is fairly light for a fully enclosed detatchable net, as would many DIY designs incorporating Tulle instead of regular netting, but it's a bit fragile compared to Noseeum netting.

Awesome, thank you! Do you know what the finished product weighs? Also do you know If I can purchase this or must I DIY?
I have never heard of the DP. What does that stand for?
You can get the HUG at Arrowhead Equipment.

The HUG weighs five ounces, but keep in mind that this design depends on utilizing other parts of your hammock system (TQ, UQ, hammock) for bug protection as well. Since bug season is hot, I tend to kick my TQ off, and then I'd get ravaged by insects.
At seven ounces, I like the Dutch Fronkey bugnet or the BIAS NanoBuginator - they provide 360* protection without relying on other elements.

That's the HUG. 5 oz
I agree with SS, but you asked for the lightest, not the best protection

Thanks guys! I was hoping for a 5 *ounce full coverage net. Its looking like that is not possible.
The SLD Nexus net is 5.75 oz. and pretty close to full coverage.

I just got some nanoseeum in to try one of these http://www.sheltoweehammockcompany.c...pper-no-see-um. It's similar to a fronkey net but lighter and it's on sale atm.
