Wow, this seems like a great resource! I noticed that it hasn't been updated in about half a decade. Would there be any interested/mechanism towards making an updated version collaboratively?
Amazing spreadsheet. Im so glad I already have my hammock, tarp and insulation. One of the best things about the spreadsheet is being able to view all the different manufactures. Cant wait to spend some time on it.
Problem is that with the amount of gear related to hammocks and with vendors constantly updating/improving adding new gear, phasing out gear, it is a nightmare to try and keep an updated spread sheet of all the gear.Would there be any interested/mechanism towards making an updated version collaboratively?
I am still 18 but with 53 years of experience !

Appears to be a mismatch between oz and gram weight.
Indeed, best bet is to check out the vendor subforum here on HF. Closest thing to a regularly updated list of current sources who actually have stuff. In many instances, gear that's has been around more than a year is likely no longer on the market, or is renamed, re-spec'd with different materials, etc.

If there are people who have the energy to deep dive on the doc, I don't see a problem with chipping away at it a little bit at a time, because it can always be reverted with history version being viewable. I might be open to helping update for the ones that are out of production or renamed, but I haven't dived into threads with recent releases/new contenders, so don't feel confident in helping restructure that aspect of it.
Edit: Also, might be useful if there was a new cell row for the hammocks tab to specify whether the product is better suited for indoor or outdoor hanging, or can be used for both (ie nylon or rip stop over cotton).
Great info, Thanks!
