time to get back to the woods

I grew up with camping, canoing, bike adventures... mostly in tents (or under picnic tables in thunderstorms) every trip was an adventure.. I thank my Mother for that perspective on life.. she is still hicking and tent camping in her early 80s..

see THIS post for how I get to hammocks today

I intend to car camp mostly but I can already see that this may get my wife and I camping off our Recumbents, maybe get the canoes on the river again?

I already like the thought of a simple duffle with every thing we need to pitch camp and cook food that is always ready to go.

I look forward to sharing adventures and experiments along the way

Welcome from SC. I, too, need to keep it light in order to get out in the woods.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Welcome from SC. Spring can't get here quick enough. Ready for a few canoe trips and weekend hikes with my family. Hanging in hammocks of course.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes.. been slowly getting things together and I finally hung in the hammock today.. put 1/8" red whoopies on the hammock and a 7/64" active ridge line.. playing with a cheap plastic 9'x9' tarp as a start
