Hi Forum,
Quick question for yall: What kind of rope do you use for your ridgeline? I am experimenting with many different types.
Thanks for your help! I'm looking forward to seeing your answers :-)

I use amsteel for a fixed ridgeline. I just make two permanent loops on each end. Works really well.
1.75 mm zingit.
1.75 mm Lash-it for me.
1.75 mm Zing-It. Anything else is overkill for most folks.

Dynaglide for me.
Yep, Zing-it.
Started with an adjustable Zing-It line, found my sweet spot and make a fixed RL. The adjustable will be used for the next hammock.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
I have 1.75 zing-it on two of my tarps, and 2.2 on my other. Only used it because it's what I had laying around that was long enough for a continuous ridgeline. The other two have split ridgelines, with a stinger on each end of the tarp.
The 2.2 actually works fine with a stinger also. I wasn't sure it would.

1.75 zing it for my 2 DIY hammocks and Nano 7, 7/64 amsteel on my eno doublenest. The last is only because I haven't swapped it over to zing it yet. Time to go see Dutch and spend some money.
Planer board line.
