I'm in southern Middle Tennessee, so if there is a hang in northern Mississippi, it may be close enough for me. I'm new to hammock camping and haven't been to a hang yet, but I'm hoping to this fall.

This one will certainly be a good one. There is supposed to be one at the Sipsey Wilderness Area/Bankhead National Forest the last weekend of October that should be about equal distance as the North MS hang from you. Look for a thread on that one as well.
