Sure, I even set up the tarp to get some pics!

What I do is tie a bowline for the stake, and then attach a prussik to the tarp. It's an idea I stole from pgibson, and his Tarp Guylines.

Usually you would put the adjustable end by the stake. However, Paul suggests doing the exact opposite, which places the adjustable end very close to you while you're inside the fly - probably the best place to adjust things in the rain

I do my guylines in Braided Mason line, but the technique is valid for any other types of lines.

Without further ado - some pics!

Great idea of putting the adjustment end on the stake end. I'm assuming you then leave them attached to the stake? That would give more visibility for the stake when packing up.

Actually, it's just the opposite - the stake end is fixed, and the adjustment is on the tarp.

I keep the guy lines on the tarp. I usually buy red stakes anyway - less chance of loss.

I tested the lineloc 3s to about 100# before failure.

I use them on my tie outs. They have held up to several very strong storms.

using them on the ridgeline will be a bit more risky.

If a metal option were avalable, I too would be interested.

OK.. That makes sense. I had the same experience. I couldn't get line loc3's to hold on zing-it, but on Lawson line it held well.

I do have Dutch's mini hook on the end, nice little piece of gear.
