Great pics and I learned something new! Will definitely be using that coffee/stroopwaffle trick now!

I always feel so fortunate when I'm able to spend time up there. It's a special place without a doubt.

What a beautiful trip! Your pictures convey the peacefulness. Sitting here at my office desk, I feel better after reading through that.

Crazytown3 - Glad you enjoyed it! I feel like TR's are a way we can bring each other along on the adventure. Even if we never actually leave our office desks!

    Cheers!

    Nice imagery.

I was only able to get to the UP once this season. I am a paddler, but I just disperse camped in the Hiawatha NF and Superior SF when I was there.

Were you near Watersmeet? I’m wanting to check out those lakes maybe next season.

We were actually up near Three Lakes for this trip, closer to Lake Superior. I was fortunate enough to paddle up there twice this season.

The Watersmeet area is definitely on my trip lists, but there are quite a few nice places to paddle in between, so I haven't made it that far with the canoe yet.

Kicking around the possibility of a couple big water trips next season if I can work up the nerve

    Cheers,

Thanks geronimo - I'm headed out for the first paddle trip of the year later this week, so hoping I'll have another TR to share shortly.
