    Hammock tieouts

Quick question-what are hammock tieouts used for? Would the be useless on a netless hammock? Thanks.

They are mainly to hold the hammock open. Which in turn holds the netting out/open as well. So they wouldn't be pointless on a netles hammock
It's not the fall im scared of, it's the sudden stop at the end!!!

They also tend to regulate the swing of a hammock, IMO. I like the little swing from movement or breeze, so I rarely use them.

I've been thinking of adding two to my Yukon netless hammock. I find that when I lay in the hammock, I always get a face full of fabric. I don't seem to have this issue with my Bias.

I have them on my Dangerbird but have never used them. Maybe I'll try. Any issues with it bothering how the UQ fits?

I have a WBBB with tie outs for both the "shelf" and "footbox" and have no problems using a full length under quilt...can't comment on a 3/4 length UQ.
