And yes the spreadsheet has always helped get folks to thinking about what to bring ahead of time to round out the meals so we don't wind up with too much food or a lot of random things like 20 people bringing desserts and only one person making a main course. So far we have 2 main courses and no dessert or sides. I'm really hoping the Terminator will send her brownies again and Peeety makes great fried taters!
i also would agree with people asking if they can feed or pet for that matter. We are bringing our dog as well.

Good point, A fun training exercise I do with my girl is to have everyone who approaches her to tell her to sit before petting her. She enjoys earning her attention and it taught her to be respectful and not jump.

Sorry to hear that Greg but I know how things go sometimes.

I feed my girls (dogs) a little people food sometimes, meat or scrambled eggs but try to limit how much.

Six (6) days and counting til the HANG! Don't forget to sign up for food or SUPPLIES. Would also like to know who might want to work the demo site Saturday and will be able to provide hammock/tarp/information. We need a table for the site. I will bring a pop-up for shelter.
Don't forget your camp chairs - sitting on the ground ain't fun!!!

I always spend the majority of the Hammock Demo time (approximately 10am till 5pm) at the demo.
I'm not as good at making lots of conversation as some but I help a little here and there.

It's good to have at least 3 or 4 from our group hanging out the demo.
Those that are there most of the day will need a few breaks to eat and walk around to check things out or whatever.
Some of our group will do day hikes and other stuff.

Some like to watch the pony auction at 2pm. It's on the road that leads into the festival area.
One of these days I know Hickery's going to buy one to take home. He's been talking about it for years.

    It's a fun day!
We have not ran into a problem having enough hammocks/ tarps and hammock users from our group to take care of the demo but please consider taking part.

    .
The good folks (Rangers and staff) at GHSP have been good to us and we to them.
They allow us to use the group site at no charge on the festival week end because we add another element of interest to the festival with the hammock camping demo.
We show our appreciation by donating the proceeds from the Sat evening raffle (after any group needs, usually just firewood) to the Friends Of GHSP.

It seams that we mostly just have bought hammocks in the demo. It would be good to have at least one of the most commonly used DIY types, gathered end hammock, there also.
I think I should have one stuck away though it may not be as long as the hammocks I and some others have found to be most comfortable (at least 10' or 11').
