Aside from the usual methods, I splice double whoopie hooks (DWH) onto CL's that then attach to either a spider or ti cinch buckle, the DWH hooks to the hammock CL. This is for use with a spreader bar. The CL/DWH can also connect directly to the strap with MSH, j-bend or whatever.

When I redid the suspension on my original ENO DN, I bought a pair of Continuous loops and a pair of whoopie slings with whoopie hooks attached to the adjustable loop of the sling, and a pair of tree straps. The fixed eye on the Dutch Whoopie slings was larksheaded onto one end of each tree strap. Meanwhile the continuous loops were fitted through the end channel of my hammock and back through themselves. The remaining free end of the continuous loop (at each end of my hammock) is what the whoopie hook (attached to the whoopie sling) connected to when I hung the hammock. It's backwards from the way the whoopie sling is attached to my Blackbird, since Dutch's whoopies stay attached to the tree straps and connect on and off the hammock rather than staying attached to the hammock and coming on and off the tree straps. Works great either configuration.

But now days, I prefer just to have continuous loops on all my hammocks and just use webbing with Dutch Spiders. Sort of the Marlin Hitch hang for the knot impaired! It's simple, quick, and a lot more adjustable than Whoopie Slings...allows me to easily use a wider range of distances between trees than my whoopies ever did. Only down side is that the webbing and spiders take up more pack space than whoopies with tree straps. (Dutch's Speed Hooks were the best of both worlds, if only the speed hooks hadn't been so hard on the Amsteel.)

I Went from hh knot to cinch buckles to whoopie hooks which is where I've been for 8 months and am happy.

Two weeks ago I was given about 3/4 mile of mule tape and love just tying a becket hitch.

Loved the whoopie hooks when I used to use whoopie slings. Easy detachment point for the suspension and a decent water break. I didn't like the extended distance between trees that whoopies require so I went to using strap anchors on kevlar straps.
