Wow, that is a pro-quality video! Nice job.
I'd be interested to know your gear list.
How long have you been using a hammock bikepacking? I just started last year...constantly surprised more people don't use hammocks, at least in the more wooded areas of the country, but I'd bet it will catch on.
Great video, how did you like the fat tire bike.
Thanks for the kind comments! I just recently bought the hammock in August. Been on 2 trips and both times I have been rather cold. Both times it got down to around 3C or so with high winds. The campsite I stayed at was around 7000 ft. Last time it actually snowed overnight and into the next day. A couple of guys I know through bikepacking use hammocks, the rest use tents or tarp bivi set ups.
Gear list:
-20C down bag
HH expedition
down jacket
down booties
climashield jacket
thermarest ultralight
emergency blanket
MSR pocket rocket with isopropane
pot
insulated mug
spoon
hat
gloves insulated and riding
buff
leggings
2 x riding lights and headlight
food - dehydrated meals, instant oatmeal. energy bars
hydration bag.
For backs I took my regular riding bag to hold all my food and hydration system.
Bike bags i used were Blackburn design outpost saddle bag and handlebar bag. I have a salsa anything cage on my frame and use a 5l drybag there.
Next time I go I am hoping to have a UQ to keep me nice and warm.
Cheers
