Your package is on its way

My son saw the HH box when it was delivered.

I told him it was for our neighbor's son and had him sneak it over to their house while their boy was still at school. (not quite a lie as they did get the cub hh that came with his)
    Soooo
I have folded the hammock and stuffed it under an ugly Christmas sweater and wrapped them in a fat sweater box to go under the tree.

Now I just got a e-mail that his UQ is on it's way...

Should I put the UQ in a shirt box or stuff it in the Spider man stuff sack that goes with his 3yo brother's sleeping bag?

Why yes I am having fun with this

Big box 10# weight that will roll or shift a little. UQ in another box inside for protection from weight. I love this time of year lets me mess with my kids for an extended amount of time with very little work.

My grandmother would place things in a different box (skateboard in a bb gun box) and use thin paper so you could just make out what was on the box. That old gal was sneaky.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

My daughter is giving a friend of hers a subscription to a magazine for Christmas. She is putting the subscription card in a small box with 5 rolls of coins to cover the cost.

    I have taught her well.

Nice idea on the gift subscription.

I wish I could just go to a store and buy this stuff so it would be easy to hide. No hiding a big package that is delivered in a big brown truck with a clear return address. Might as well say "This box contains a HH you should be happy your mom ROCKS and you won't have to borrow a tent from the troop any more"

For a boy scout - even better. He'll love it! Hammock camping is, in my opinion, a sign that a scout really knows how to camp. It provides a higher level of competency to do right on almost every level and it pays off big time. Your son does have a great mom!

Thanks Breyman. I did a lot of research before I bought these things. The last time I slept in a hammock I was 10. We were at the beach, and it was made of hemp rope.

I think it's great you've got your son a HH & UQ for Christmas! I've got a feeling Mom's gonna be getting her own hammock before long!

We'll see... He's kinda funny bout mom budding in on his scout activities... Senior Patrol leader can't have mommy accompany him on camp outs. But I can take him on Family Camp outs. Just need to figure out how to handle a 3 year old in a hammock. Little brother can be rough...
