I don’t have a photo of pull loop attached to ridgeline
Imagine a straight line drawn on paper
    Straight line could be ridgeline
Or straight line could look like flat ground or horizon

Now imagine a circle drawn, just touching straight line, like a tire rolling on a road
That circle is the pull loop

Tie a prusik around both the ridgeline and around (through) the hand sized circular pull loop
I use six wraps with Zingit 2.2
    Six wraps yields 12 coils

To attach prusik to end of tarp tie out, I untie the loosely tied overhand knot that held prusik loop
Then re-tie that prusik loop through end of tarp tie out. Then tighten overhand or double overhand knot

Now it’s stuck on tarp semi-permanently
That could be a problem for anyone who likes to disassemble all their lines separate from their tarp each time they pack their gear

    I leave everything attached
Zingit 2.2 is low cost enough for me to have ridgelines and guylines always attached to each tarp I have

    Good luck

I need to work on my communication skills
Or take clear photos and put them here
    Thanks

To make the ridgeline detachable, tie the Prusik using a soft shackle. Not my idea, Dutch's.

Sorry to veer slightly from the topic. Thanks PG! I use the DW one-piece ridgeline with soft shackles. It didn't really occur to me before (?!?!), but I could just use the soft shackle loop as a pull loop if the prusik has tightened up a little too much.

If it was that simple, Phantom's loop would provide no benefit. His loop works differently on the Prusik than simply pulling directly on it. Try it out! Easy enough to unwrap it and add the loop.

I love my under- tarp single line for the ability to have a covered clothes/ gear line but hate when the prussik's bind, so went through many iterations until settling on Nama claws, which have their own issues. I didn't like the lack of a solid connection (if they only had a carabiner gate) and metal near my precious DCF. On the other hand, they adjust like a dream and stay put when tensioned.

However, the pull- loop is something I will DEFINITELY be experimenting with. Thanks for sharing, PG!

This is really interesting. Just so I have it clear, can you confirm that the prussic loops then have two lines running through them, the ridgeline, and the loop?
I like this idea a lot.

One other question, do you splice the loop or just knot it on itself?

    I just knot pull loop
    And I knot prusik loop
The pull loop makes adjusting prusik loop along length of tarp ridgeline much easier.

Hanging clothes to dry in MN fall + another tarp question

Yes, you are right, prusik has two lines running through it—the ridgeline and pull loop

It has a similar look and function of Bachmann Knot
In bachmann knot the carabiner would be the pull loop in prusik with pull loop
