Do the Hammock Gear mesh skins have pockets to tuck the ride line cordage into?
The photos on the HG site aren't very clear to me. Most videos I've seen people wind the ridgeline around the rolled sleeve so I'm guessing not, but want to confirm.
I know its an option with the SLD ones, and the wide end will have a draw string.
And it looks like the Dutchware ones have pockets (no draw string).

A picture of my pack all ready to go out last weekend. This time, my tarp is a smaller one, Hammock Gear DCF hex standard (no doors).. Same spot in my pack.. The outter mesh pocket, along with TP, rain gear, and be free water filter..
I switched to a mesh snakeskin a while back and haven't found a better way to store either DCF tarp. The biggest benefit is not having to fig-8 all the lines and not having them tangled when I am deploying the tarp.
I roll the tarp starting from the wide end of the mesh skin. More so, I fold it in a rolling fashion and then when I reach the narrow end I wrap the last ridge line loosely around the bundle and then flatten the whole thing out into a cigar shape. That goes in a DIY DCF stuff sack. If it's damp or wet, it goes in the front stretch pocket... plenty of room there. Otherwise, it goes in the pack, on top next to my food bag, with my layers on top of it.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I zig zag mine (single layer) into my DCF stuff sack and it results in a sort of rectangular pillow-esq form...if that makes any sense. Stows quite well like that.
I use mesh snake skins for my 12' palace tarp. I fold the tarp/skins over a few times then stuff the ends down the side (inside) of my pack leaving the center section visible on top. This way I simply open my pack, grab that middle section and pull it out. It's immediately available.

I roll mine up, I find this squeezes out all the air and most if any water. I like using dcf because it is not as slippery when rolling but it does take a minor wt. penalty. the easy way to roll it up is while it is on the ridgeline, pick the side the sleeve is on roll from the bottom up and slide the sleeve over, keep going till the whole tarp is in the sleeve. Note; i reel up all lines not to tangle for next us prior. Once sleeved you will have a big end and a small end, detach from hanging position, fold in half minus about a foot so the big end is about two feet to the longer, roll from adjusted midpoint tight with small side on top, rolling over the small side. Hope this helps.
