Great to see all of these folks heading up. Due my own dietary proclivities, I plan to bring my own meals.....and I'm also happy to contribute to group grub as well. Thought I'd note this for those prepping group meals that my head doesn't count for meal planning. I'll have a bunch of pre cooked bacon and some hot beverage prep for the masses.
Yes! Awesome FBH signs! If anyone is wondering what they can bring for the group it would be water and tarps. For new winter campers, be sure to bring a stool/pad. Your butt gets pretty cold on the frozen snow. As for parking, last year there was so much snow that it shrunk the parking spaces significantly. I am sure that anyone with a truck could easily muscle through and make a space. Try to squeeze in anyway just in case we have more vehicles.
We also did a run to the gas station for sodas. I will have to make a run to Duluth on Friday so any last minute/emergency supplies we need to get I will happily stop. (Hand warmers, replace melted nalgenes *ahem* , etc.)
Just read back a few pages *facepalm* We'll do breakfast on Saturday. Like I said before, I'll run into town to pick some stuff up as needed. It's always good to bring a few personal meals for yourself and others. When it's cold, all your body wants is to eat! Which is just fine for me!
So, both schedule and finances just got a lot less predictable for me, and now I'm a bit concerned about the cost of gas to drive up there. Is there anyone who could potentially take a carpooling passenger possibly deciding last-minute whether he can actually go or not?
Where are you coming from Tony?
I will be coming up from Lakeville perhaps with Pello. Let's stay in touch as it shouldn't be a big deal to swing by if needed
I am most likely heading up Friday AM...
