One more thing, with the draumer xl, what is the minimum distance between trees? (just curious!)

FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

you can make the Draumr fit in under 9 feet, but you need a bit more if you want a tarp (then the distance will be decided by your tarp)
"It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it"
yeah, if you don't need the length of the XL, you've got a TON more options with the regular size.
there's been a few trips where I'd wished I had a pad with much less insulation, but generally the synmat 9 has been great for me.
Jonas made a video last year I think, where he tried a bunch of different pads, and got some surprising (to me) results with pads I assumed wouldn't have worked
Took my daughter out in her 3.0 Saturday evening. I took the xl. Man I love these things.
