Since you guys are bringing peeety's tarp only if raining, I am definitely bringing my tarp, because setting up the lighting is something that I definitely want to do. There's no better test for the system than a group hang, and I'm not risking the lights without a tarp. Now, I might use the grip clips and do a smaller hang version of the tarp, but all of the lights will be protected. I'm hoping that we have nice clear and cool weather.

In the interest of sharing resources, and for those who may not have a water filter yet, I'll have my 1 gallon Sawyer water bag & filter system with me. Everyone is welcome to use it for filtered water.

Thank you so much Slugger. We will have our Sawyer water filtration system with a 2.5 gallon collapsible container as well. Anyone in our community able to use.

If your bringing your tarp up Peety can leave his in the car. What kind of lights are you talking about deploying. Hoping for nice weather also, but always seem to get some afternoon rain.

Tacoma, check out the biolite solar home 620. I think I have the number right, but it's the only solar home unit that they sell. It's wicked awesome, and gives a place to charge a usb device also. The lights are on a long daisy chain, and each light has its own switch similar to a home light switch. One of them even has a motion activated sensor. I am not one to use much lighting while camping, a I generally adapt great night vision. I am going to try and hang my tarp so that the lights are up under a canopy, so they don't bother anyone when it's dark. I figure they will be great to have for preparing meals, first aid, or little manual tasks. We will see, because I've only playe with them indoors.

Well, I just noticed this hang posted the other day. Somehow I overlooked it I guess. I've been to Brevard but never camped in the area and I've heard great things about Pisgah and John Rock. Just checked my work schedule and I'm off that weekend (?) So I may have to think hard about this one. Lol
Are there many waterfalls near by hiking distance?
I'll bring an empty cup for the morning snwcmpr treat if it's available?

Great I have seen the biolite wooden burning stove but never seen the light kits. I so don't like a lot of light when I am sleeping, the first sign of light I am awake.

Mooseman would be great to have you attend. I informed my wife that you would be there also. Yes waterfalls are available.
