Dan and I may be changing up to do the shorter route in from Batsto as well. He has to be up tomorrow morning at 4 AM for work and he said tonight that he'd probably like to shorten up the hike in.

I've been following this thread and I'd really like to make this my first group hang. I'm new to all this but I've had my rig down to 28* in my backyard. I haven't said anything yet because this is a really busy family-heavy weekend but it may just work out that I can come in Saturday but I'm still not sure.

Would I be welcome If I were to show up Saturday, Pickup a permit for one of the open Mullica river sites at Batsto and come in?

Is there any stuff to be sherpa'd?

If the meet time is still 11:30 at Atsion, I'll probably be calling cell phones to see how folks are doing time wise.

Sure, why not?

I'd shoot for site 3 if it's open at the time. 1, 5, 6, and 10 are also open but I'm not so sure about the viability of them. Whichever you grab doesn't really matter though, as we'll find some trees for you - but by paying for a site you're covered as far as permit goes (since we won't add you to ours, since we'll be in the woods by the time you decide).

If you're interested in partaking in the group food, bring along $10 or so to toss into the group fund, and you should be good. I'll PM you my cell number - shoot me a text if you decide to head in, so we know to expect you.
