Introducing Ridgeline Media Systems HangTime Hook:

I know what you’re thinking. I was about to give up myself too. But I can assure you that it works as long as you push a little harder. It is indeed a tighter fit than the 3D printed model though.

Lol. How did you pull that off. When I try to screw the ring on it only goes on crooked!!

    Ham radio on the hook

Been loving my 3D printed version and bought one of the new production models from Dutch. Here is my Elecraft KX2 on a HangTime Hook (plus a little stabilizer).

    Heads Up Ham Radio

The other parts for this setup are the Arkon AMPS mount and the KX2 mount from Side KX (and of course my Dutchware wide hammock).

Thanks for a great product Eric!

Hangtime Hook Stabilizer for Netless Hammock

Here's an idea for a simple way to stabilize in a netless hammock. Using 1/16" shock cord, a small dual cord lock, and 2 alligator clips I made this simple rig for use with my Hexon 1.0 netless. Despite how thin that fabric is, the alligator clips hold just fine. Double the fabric over once if needed.

    Bowline to attach one alligator.

Wrap once or twice around the lower hook on the HTH.

Second alligator captured in a loop formed by the dual cord lock. Pull the free end of the shock cord to tension.

Now the screen sways with me!

That's pretty cool. You could do that in a Chameleon and connect to the D-rings, too, couldn't you? I don't have one yet, but I suspect that could work.

From the looks of your ridgeline, I think the HTH is your stabilizer! I think your little squreze cord lock hook and shock cord are bearing most of the weight.

I find the "sway" to be of little or no problem.
If it moves, I can stop it with a finger touch.
    Luv me my Hook!

I slept in the Chameleon last night and did the same thing but hooked to the D rings inside the hammock and used the shock cord tie out that came with the Sidecar. Worked great!
