I am going to try out a single line suspension this year. With the help of Bonefire Gear I have the geometry figured out and have taken a couple trial runs with success. My current suspension is UHMWPE straps with a Becket tied to the continuous loop. The picture shows it tied. The yellow cord is just the pull handle for the continuous loop.
I have tried a simple prussik and a small carabiner to attach to the tarp D ring (2nd picture)
and that works but I am looking for suggestions to shorten that connection and also be lighter. Hardware free would be preferred but not at the expense of efficiency.
The prussik I mentioned earlier uses the becket as a stopper knot so if something takes the place of the prussik it can do the same. I also do not need to keep the D ring on the tarp.
Thanks for any input.
