I think that it would be great, to be able to view a thread
with as little distractions as possible. We must remember that
a greater number of people will be viewing on mobile devices,
and scrolling through page after page is quite laborious.

Is there a way that we can make our Hammock information
easier to find in the threads, while maintaining the originality
and group feel of Hammock Forums? I believe that there is.

I think it would be great if there was an option for the OP to choose,
which hides off-topic and trivial posts. Posts could be flagged by the
OP, or by thread readers (not sure which would work better), and those
could be hidden from the thread. It might show that Person XYZ Posted,
but that it is hidden. Readers can have a toggle to show hidden replies
in case they want to read 100% of the replies on a post.

If we were able to hide the posts that do not add to the conversation,
then it would reduce read time, and become a much more informative
forum. Replies that go greatly off topic, or just contain single line replies
such as "Good Post" "Great Job" etc do not need to be read by every
single reader (but can be there still to support the OP).

Granted, Shug's threads wouldn't be as long without the multitude of
"You da man Shug!" and "Way to Go Shug" posts, but that just means
that we'd get through to the great information a little quicker.

While this might not be an issue for desktop home pc users, this can
greatly benefit our mobile users who struggle on slow connections to
load every single page of our forum. The more concise and useful
that we can make this forum, the better I think it could be.

What do you all think?
