I have 4 dog/marshmallow forks, and several packages of marshmallows/peeps to roast. 2 pans of brownies, 2 packages of iced oatmeal cookies. Enough minestrone soup mix to make a gallon. A whole canister of oatmeal, coffee, and the gear to cook it. Also a big water jug with spigot valve for the table. A few small goodies for the raffle. Children's hammock set-up for the demo.
Whew. Glad I'm car-camping.
Planning to be there shortly after noon tomorrow, depending on how early I can get the hoarde into the car.
I'm stoked! Can't wait to see you all...

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
Wow....that a wonderful forecast!!! The Google documents is updated with what I've gotten. For whatever reason I'm not able to view the Friday columns, and if I switch it over to view smaller, I can't type in it.....so it's all in the Saturday column.
All packed and loaded gassing then it will be 3 hr. So we should get there around2
It's not the fall im scared of, it's the sudden stop at the end!!!
Only hang as high as your willing to fall- H.F. member
Leaving in a few minutes. Have to stop for gas and ice so should be there between 1 and 2.
I'm sure there are some others around. I heard that there was one hanging around Fox Creek Horse Campground on the other side of the mountain.
Also, we haven't had any further reports of bear activity since Tuesday, but there's no guarantee that we caught the right bear, so be smart, keep your food in the car and take the trash to the dumpster before you head to the hammocks at night. Having a bear scrape on the side of a tent is one thing, I'd hate to have one testing to see what it can eat from a hammock!
See ya'll soon!

Really need a larger car.. cold weather camping takes so much stuff...

We are home, unpacking has started. insulation has been uncompressed and hung. I'll get a video done and the group shot posted as soon as I can.
Thank you to slowhike and Rockdawg for organizing, to Ranger Holland for the hospitality, and to all the cooks and raffle donors for your generosity. It was great to meet or see you all again.
