Hey everyone,

Last weekend I carried out my new set up for hanging a tarp. I had bought a ridge line with dutchware from Whoopie slings and hang it above the tarp(Big MamaJama). I had a small piece of shock cord and a mini biner that I used to connect the eyelet of the tarp to the prussic knots on the ridge line. I don't know that it matters but I am using JRB Self Tensioning Lines on the tie outs to the stakes.

My main question is this: I'm trying to reduce any bulk that I can in my gear. Would it be a bad thing if I were to remove the shock cord and use a mini binder to directly connect the eyelet of the tarp to the prussic knot on the RL?

I know there's literally hundreds of ways to do things but was curious if this setup is possible. I know that the lines to the tie outs will be what tensions most of the tarp and not necessarily the ridge line.

Any info is greatly appreciated.
