I have a Hennessy 2QZQ modded hanmmock and a 20* leighlo FL quilt right now and and looking for some advice.

I took my GT UL hammock and fashioned it into the top cover ( woorks ok and seams to do the job). I have a extra poncho liner and found posting on Hammock forums to turn it into and to layer UQ.

Due to funds being tight right now I am looking to pick up a -10*C barrel bag fro MEC for 120ish dollars and use that as a TQ.

Specs for the bag are:

Weight 1.4kg (Regular)
Seasons 3-season
Shape Barrel
Insulation 575 fill-power duck down
Temperature -10°C
Packed Volume 9.6L
Down Weight
The amount of down used to fill the bag (given for the medium size).
850g
Loft
The thickness or puffiness of a bag – a key factor in determing a bag's warmth.
18cm
Shoulder Girth 148cm
Hip Girth 154cm
Foot Girth 121cm
Yoke
An insulated collar that covers your throat and shoulders to reduce heat loss.
No

and could supliment that with a poncho liner.

So for winter insulation I would have GT UL overcover + MEC (-10*C) down bag + PLTQ ( if needed) + ME + PLUQ (if needed) + 20*F leighlo FLUQ + Hennessy or other type of undercover (if needed).

I feel this may be a great modular system. For winter camping i most will be car camping and using my Pulk sled.

anty thoughts??
