Met up with Uncle Ray Ray for a few days of hiking on the AT here in Maryland. I started at South Mountain Inn, hiked up to PenMar park, turned around at the Mason Dixon line and headed back. We camped near Raven Rock Shelter the first night, and just South of Annapolis Rocks the second night.
Night 2 found us setting up with snow falling around. It was forecast to be sunny but hey, it is what it is right?
Ray tested out some new gear he made. A very nice wood stove and Top Quilt that's a combo IX and Climashield. With temps dropping to 24F and both of us sleeping warm and cozy, I'd say he did an excellent job!
