I have had this stand up for awhile and got some pics today.
Material-- 2-- 2x4x8
1-- 1/2" x 36" rebar- cut to the following-
2--5" long
2--8" long
1--10" long
1 set [URL="http://www.harborfreight.com/6-piece-15-inch-x-3-inch-canopy-anchor-set-99693.html"]canopy achors.
3/8" rope (you could use amsteel) not sure on length

Drill 1/2" hole through the 2x4 on the 4" side about 4" from the end. The 5" rebar goes here.
Drill 9/16" hole in the very end of the 2x4, opposite end.

Drive the 8" rebar into the ground at an angle. Leave about 4" sticking out. Place the 2x4 with the hole in the end over the 8" rebar.
Tie the ridgeline in place, going over top of the 5" rebar.
Screw the anchors in the ground (4). Tie from the top of the 2x4 (above the rebar). I used a [URL="http://www.animatedknots.com/truckers/index.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.anima tedknots.com"]Truckers hitch[URL].

I used a continuous loop over the top of the 2x4, whoopie slings on the hammock and soft shackles to attach the two together. All were DIY.
