After years of wanting to go to this hang, I am glad that I finally did. The 4* personal best was worth every shiver. Actually slept fine except for the 6-7 calls to nature each night.
Enjoyed meeting a new group of hangers as well as finally getting to see WV again after many years.
One take away from the trip, dang that was a lot of stars. Thats the downside of living in Northern VA. Hopefully next time I’ll see a pony.

You, too, Yojimbo. You'll be glad to know that Watoga has received official recognition as a "Dark Sky Park" so there's a good view of the stars closer to home. No ponies, though - you may have to settle for a bear.
"""Again, as usual, Grayson hang was top notch and well planned. Thanks Hickery for all the work and Slowhike and Rockdawg for keeping the thread updated and all the behind the scenes leg work that make the GHSP hangs so great.""""
Well thanks Need2noCallhan, but I was there in mental support only. I hovered around my home fires and kept my butt warm.

I must say, the raffle produced $410 for the park, even though there was lot a lot on the table.
I hear there was food in the raffle. That probably helped ;~)
But seriously, a big thanks to those who made contributions.

I was proud of what we raised. I think that Spam sandwich put us over .
